We work with a range of partners at HELOA from across the higher education sector
For our members we provide:
- High quality and low cost training and professional development opportunities
- Networking and conferencing opportunities, locally and nationally
- Advice, guidance and support for both newcomers and experienced practitioners
- Regular updates on changes to the HE sector, helping you to better advise your students
For our partners we provide:
- Advice and guidance to students and their families, who may be thinking about progressing to higher education
- Representatives at HE and careers fairs organised by UCAS, schools and many other organisations
- Talks and presentations to students and teachers on topics ranging from finance, student life and individual subject choices
- Liaison with local and national government and many other bodies to affect policy and represent the interests of the higher education sector.

🔈One of our speakers is Lauren Currie, Founder and CEO of Upfront. She is running a session on 'Preparing Students for a World that Doesn't Exist Yet and here is a little but about her:
Lauren Currie is the Founder and CEO of UPFRONT; an organisation dedicated to changing confidence, visibility, and power for 10 million women. UPFRONT work with organisations across the private, public and third sector to convert talent into high performance. Their flagship product, The Bond, unlocks confidence at scale to drive predictable growth.
Lauren is also the bestselling author of Be UPFRONT 24 Rules for Life Changing Confidence and children's book Taylor Meets The Trick that teaches young children and the grown ups around them about the patriarchy.
Lauren's work has been featured in The Guardian, Design Week, and Creative Review. She was awarded an OBE for her services to design and diversity and has been named one of the “woman changing the world under 30” by ELLE magazine, “one of the UK’s top businesswomen under 35” by Management Today, and "one of the UK's top 50 Creative Leaders" by Creative Review.

Are you coming to our Professional Development Conference in Sheffield on 8th September?
Here’s some useful information on getting to the Crowne Plaza:
📍Postcode: S4 7YE.
🗺️ What3Words: ///tunnel.plays.sake.
🚗 Driving: For day delegates, free onsite parking is available for the duration of the event. If you are staying overnight at the Crowne Plaza, parking is charged at £6. You will need to register your registration plate, so make sure you take a picture before you leave if you have a hire car!
🚆 Public Transport: The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Sheffield Train Station.
