The Practical Side of Project Management

This conference will focus on building the practical skills necessary for working on building and managing projects within HE. We will have two showcase speakers discussing their projects, one being the winner of the HELOA Best Practice Access, Outreach and Student Recruitment Award at our national conference this year and the other being an officer experienced in projects covering student recruitment and events. Our last speaker, an expert in her field, will be hosting the afternoon practical session, giving you the chance to get a real-hands on experience and with the bonus of leaving with something tangible to assist in your next project.

Due to the practical nature of this conference, we have flipped the learning, so you will be sent a video a week ahead of the conference that will outline the theory and skills you will be using in the workshop. If you have ever had an idea for a project and you weren’t sure where to start, this is the conference for you.

Please note that once you have booked a place at the HELOA Professional Development Conference, we require a minimum of 14 days notice in order to cancel your place. Any cancellations received less than 14 days before the event will still be charged for in full.

Bookings close on Friday August 30th. If the conference reaches capacity before this time the conference will close before this deadline. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Bookings can be made without having raised a Purchase Order at the time of booking, however a Purchase Order will need to have been provided by 30th August. It is not necessary to wait for your HELOA membership to be fully processed before you complete the booking, as long as you have started the process by 30th August. Please also note that we are unable to accept payments by credit card.

If you are no longer able to attend, you are able to send another representative from your institution to fill the place. To cancel your place or request to send a representative from your institution, please contact training@heloa.co.uk.
