Partnerships Framework

HELOA works in partnership with a variety of organisations throughout the HE sector. Our partnerships have a number of different levels which denote the level of engagement and detail of agreement in place. Partnerships with organisations support the aims of the HELOA strategic plan to help advise and support prospective students and deliver tangible membership benefits such as mutually-beneficial training sessions, shared practice or knowledge, or a membership discount.  We want to ensure that our partnerships are of mutual benefit to you as an organisation in content, format and operational delivery. With that in mind we have three different levels of partnership that you can engage with us in.

Sponsor

HELOA provides a range of commercial sponsorship opportunities for organisations whose image, product or services are in line with HELOA’s mission and values. Those we have ‘non-commercial’ partnerships with can also engage in sponsorship activity. There are various opportunities for your organisation to sponsor HELOA events and activities these include sponsorship of training events and marketing engagement opportunities:

Training Event Sponsorship Packages

HELOA provides a range of opportunities for sponsorship at one of our conferences that run throughout the year. There are various packages available for the annual National Conference, New Practitioners Conference, Professional Development Conferences and Group Training events.

Marketing Engagement Sponsorship packages

HELOA regularly communicates with its membership via a fortnightly bulletin, through social media channels and via the HELOA website. Through the communications and website packages, organisations have the opportunity for promotion and exposure of their organisation through relevant channels and different time periods to suit organisational needs.

Our full, current list of sponsorship opportunities can be found here

Supporter

This category is where HELOA and an organisation seek to deliver coordinated work in partnership. There will be a simple, written partnership agreement which will be agreed by both parties. This will be flexible and subject to change and will be renewed annually. Organisations will be listed as supporters on the HELOA website and associated marketing materials. There will be a dedicated member of the HELOA Partnerships Team who will manage the relationship.

Strategic Partner

More in depth collaboration between HELOA and your organisation will require a written memorandum of understanding which is signed by both parties. This will outline a set of agreed initiatives and member engagement opportunities which both parties will deliver and collaborate on. This will be formally reviewed every one-three years. The partnership will be formally outlined on HELOA marketing material with the key set of agreed principles shared through the HELOA website. The partnership, in line with the HELOA strategic plan, will have tangible benefits and engagement opportunities for members. There will be a dedicated member of the HELOA Partnerships Team who will manage the relationship.

Group Level Partnerships

Whilst not noted in the above framework, it may be that a partnership you have is more relevant for one particular area within the UK and may be more relevant for one particular HELOA group. HELOA recognises that collaborative working opportunities may vary in different groups of the UK and Northern Ireland. The nine regional HELOA Groups each have a role responsible for training and partnerships and have developed a range of effective relationships over many years to mutual benefit. We now seek to formalise these relationships. Partnerships can be ‘sponsors’, ‘supporters’ or ‘Strategic Partners’ in nature. Those who engage with us at group level can also be sponsors or network with group members (e.g. guest speakers). Your organisation may only operate or predominantly operate in a particular region within the UK. In these instances a partnership tailored to that group may be more appropriate.
