HELOA has established strategic partnerships with a number of different organisations across the sector to provide mutual benefits to both parties and to our members, supporting objectives set out in HELOA’s strategic plan.
HELOA works in partnership with:
UCAS
UCAS recognises the high level of expertise and wide experience HELOA members possess regarding the dissemination of information for potential students and their influencers. HELOA members are frequently consulted by UCAS and are members of a range of review and decision making groups. HELOA and UCAS meet regularly to explore and develop a range of IAG issues.
HELOA and UCAS have developed joint working groups for events and product developments within UCAS with representatives from each HELOA group and key stakeholders.

The Student Room is here to help every student discover, and reach, their potential.
Our site is home to the UK’s largest online student community. In this friendly and welcoming space, everyone is free to share their knowledge, find support and guidance, and to connect with a world of educational opportunities.
The Student Loans Company (SLC)
HELOA has a long standing relationship working closely with the Student Loans Company (SLC) to support work in helping students to understand funding options in England, Wales, and Scotland. The SLC recognise the importance of our members’ work and expertise in engaging with students to support development of materials and communication strategies.
Our working relationship and partnership with the SLC was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, signed in April 2018 and outlines the Organisations’ shared objectives of providing student finance information to students, potential students, parents/sponsors and other stakeholders as appropriate.
HELOA also works, at a local level, with student finance companies in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
FindAUniversity
For a number of years HELOA has been working with FindAUniversity, the postgraduate experts. Since 2001, FindAUniversity has been dedicated to assisting higher education institutions in achieving their postgraduate recruitment goals. Their expertise spans across various aspects of postgraduate study, making them an invaluable resource for both institutions and students.
Through this partnership, HELOA aims to collaborate closely with FindAUniversity to enhance the information, advice, and guidance we provide to our members. Together, we are committed to supporting the success of prospective postgraduate students by delivering comprehensive and reliable resources tailored to their needs.
